Keith Bailey
Keith’s journey began
In the Netherlands
Where at eight years old
He boarded a plane to America
Picture this
A kid in homemade clothes
Speaking very little English
Trying to make friends
That experience taught Keith early on
That connection, is about curiosity
Later, as a Marine Corps photojournalist
He mastered the art of telling stories
And, discovered the power of putting the person
before the profession
After serving his country
Keith shifted gears into global corporate sales
In the cycling industry
Proving he could build relationships
Just as easily in boardrooms
As on bike trails
Today
As co-founder of Articulated Intelligence
Keith helps professionals communicate with confidence
Transform conversations into connections
And realize a return
On their networking efforts
So please welcome
A master storyteller
and lifelong connector
Keith Bailey…

Alyce Blum
Alyce has always had a sense of adventure
As a kid in Denver
She convinced her parents
To let her leave her small neighborhood school
And enroll In the largest public school in the city
Later
That same curiosity took her abroad
Studying in Ecuador And Spain
Learning how to navigate
New cultures
New places
And a lot of awkward conversations
So after college
When she moved to Washington, D.C.
And started attending networking events as a law firm recruiter
She thought “This is perfect.
New people…
Unknown environments…
My kind of adventure.”
But then reality set in
The abruptness
The exhaustion
The quiet disappointment
And she discovered
She wasn’t alone
Most people she met felt the same way
The networking juice just wasn’t worth the squeeze
So Alyce got fired up and set a path
To create a better way of networking
While others standardized she dared to humanize.
In 2012 she became a Certified Networking Coach
And for more than a decade she has been coaching professionals
On how to be the networkers they want to see in the world.
And how to turn networking from a chore to a competitive edge
Now as a co-founder of Articulated Intelligence
Her mission is simple
Make sure people present with impact,
network with intention and realize measurable results from their efforts.
So please welcome
A networking strategist
A curious adventurer
And someone who proves
Networking doesn’t have to feel like Middle school lunch

My journey from the Netherlands to the United States at 8 years old wasn't just a change of scenery, it was a crash course in making connections. Picture this, a kid who doesn't speak the language, clad in mom-made outfits, trying to navigate the complex social waters of a new country. It was a challenge that I dove into headfirst, fueled by curiosity.

My time in the United States Marine Corps as a photojournalist added another layer to my approach. There I learned the power of storytelling and a "go-giver" mindset. Putting the person before the profession became my mantra and weaving stories into my practice became a superpower.
From the hospitality industry to fitness coaching to global corporate sales, I honed my speaking skills leveraging Toastmasters and the National Speakers Association as my training ground and improv stages as my playground.

Through my experience I've learned that good speakers are created, not born. To give everyone the opportunity to live life well spoken I co-founded Articulated Intelligence, a communication up-leveling firm, along with Alyce and Renee where we play and practice so we can perform at our best when it matters most.

I have always had a sense of adventure! From convincing my parents to switch me from my small neighborhood school to the largest public school in Denver to doing semesters abroad in Ecuador and Spain, I’ve always been up for the challenge of meeting new people in unknown and sometimes daunting environments.

So, when I moved to DC after college and started attending networking events as a law firm recruiter, I thought, “This is going to be awesome – new people, unknown environments – this is my kind of adventure!”

But then... the awkwardness, the exhaustion, the disappointment. How could this be?!

And, I found I was not alone in these feelings. The majority of people I talked to felt the same way about networking - the juice just wasn’t worth the squeeze!

I started thinking, there has to be a better way, a different approach to networking. That question set me on a path to becoming a Networking Coach. In 2012 I became a Certified Professional Coach and for over 10 years now I’ve been testing and teaching simple, science-backed strategies that help people realize a Return on Networking (RoN), to turn networking from a chore into a competitive edge.

After running my own business for 7 years I met Keith Bailey. We co-founded Articulated Intelligence, along with Renee, where our mission is helping people prevent unintentional audience abuse so their personal and professional brand stands out through the words they share with the world.

AV / Stage Requirements
Stage Setup & Mic: A headset microphone is ideal but we are adept at using all types of microphones.
Slides: We love to reinforce our message with slides so having a projector and screen is appreciated. A confidence monitor is nice to have if available. Overall we can work with whatever equipment you have.
Computer Needs: We prefer to use our own computer. We’ve learned to have all necessary adaptors and connectors as the show must go on. If using the event computer is required we can work with that too.
Lighting, Sound, & Tech: No out of the ordinary requirements in this area.
Travel (from Denver) & Accommodations: We prefer to book our own travel. We can support submitting receipts for reimbursement after the event or we can determine a fixed fee amount whichever is easiest for you. And we are easy when it comes to food, we’ll eat anything, no restrictions or requirements.
Promotion/Marketing Support: Blurbs, vids, posts, let us know how we can help you promote the event. If you plan to record the event let’s talk about how it will be used or distributed and if there will be any restrictions or conditions.
