Research My Networking Event - Step 7: Investment

Let's Do Some Number Crunching!

The average professional spends 6.3 hours per week networking, that’s more than 327 hours a year or eight full work weeks.  If you’re going to invest that kind of time, shouldn’t you be getting more than cold coffee and a stack of business cards?

Every event is an investment in time, but how much time (including your time to plan and prepare)?

Some events come with a price tag. Can you recoup that investment through new sales opportunities, strategic partnerships, or a savvy trade-out?

Most events tap your energy, even if you’re an extrovert. Add in travel (plan for at least one flight delay), logistics (babysitters, dogsitters, catsitters, oh my), and multi-day agendas, and the energy costs rise fast.

As you research and analyze your networking opportunities make sure you are considering your…

#7 Networking Investment

How much

time, money & energy

will you be putting in to attend?

Is the potential return on investiment (ROI) in line with the cost of attending?

High investment usually calls for high intentionality…

and that’s where the stakes start to climb.

We all weigh time, money, and energy differently so only you can decide whether the juice from the event is worth the squeeze.

If you are thinking, hmm, it would be really helpful if I had an advisor to guide me through building a networking investment plan to maximize my time, money, and energy and land more clients, then the Networking Practice Lab on Feb. 5th & 6th is the perfect place for you to be.  We’ll do that and more.  Check it out.

Every little bit of practice helps with increasing your ROI so join Articulated Intelligence Coaches the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month at 11am on Zoom for 30-minutes of Networking Practice Drills.  You invest the time and we'll take care of the rest.
